"I do my best writing from Tasmania," says historical-adventure romance author Fiona McIntosh, who is coming to Launceston in December. Fiona has many fans through her fabulous novel The Lavender Keeper, that is credited as being inspired by Bridestowe Lavender Farm. She is also known for her adult fantasy writing.

Her latest book is The Tea Gardens. Petrarchs Bookshop in conjunction with the Tamar Valley Writers Festival is offering you the chance to meet Fiona, and hear her speak about this novel at a cocktail book-signing to be held at Launceston's Hotel Grand Chancellor on Monday 4 December at 5.45pm.

Here's your chance to bring your family and friends to meet Fiona, and buy a signed copy or two of The Tea Gardens for your bedside table, or as the perfect Christmas gift.

Tickets are available from Petrarchs Bookshop, 89 Brisbane Street, Launceston. Ph: 6331 8088.
