Come along and meet Tasmania’s own Katherine Scholes, whose books have sold more than 2 million copies worldwide. Scholes, born in Tanzania but who has lived in Tasmania for many years, will reflect on her earliest memories of horse-riding across the paddocks of Waterton Hall before she even had thoughts of becoming a storyteller. Her myriad novels can now be found on bookshelves across the globe. While Scholes’s books are set in Tanzania, her writing is imbued with clues that she is proud to call Tasmania home.
